There is no dilema here as to what happens in an anticipated stationary state. Since, as far as we know Λ is greater than 0, the universe must be currently asymptotically approaching a stationary de Sitter state. Sean says that if we wait long enough we will reach that stationary state, but that will never happen, by definition, no matter how close we get to it.
this is not Philosophy nor cosmology , nor philosophy of cosmology…its simple quantum mechanics

Thanx for publishing a difficult but yet understandable video of theoretical physics. Im just a hobby physicist but its not that hard to grasp if you know basic engineering math and know how to use google. =)

If Carroll's branches also require objective spacetime geometry, don't they also "block" (as in block time)? Each new universe would be created AS a start to finish timescape complete, right? That's not an evolution.
